Dongyuan Eco Agriculture Technology Ltd in Hepu county in Beihai city, Guangxi province is the manufacture of Dongyuanjia Wine, one of the Hepu-three-precious which includes “pearl, Sirenia and Dongyuanjia Wine”. In past 12 years, Dongyuan Ltd has taken processing as leading business, forming coordinate inner and outer cycle, and realizing harmony development between the company and local eco agriculture.
Huang Bingquan, general manager of the company, said proudly “we chose the right way to develop eco agriculture. We will definitely establish the top eco agriculture zone in our country.”
Dongyuan Company produces 3000tons health-care wine yearly with output of 15000tons of leftovers and waste material after infusion causing serious environmental problems. To solve them, the company takes advantage of 20 holes dug by former brick factory and re-construct them into fish pools covering area of 300Mu, then feed fish with those waste material. However, with the increasing of leftovers, 300Mu fish pool can not digest them all. In that situation, the company adopts a mode of brewing- aquiculture- livestock product processing-biogas to deal with leftovers and other solid waste. By that way, the company takes use of leftovers from processing, and reduces pollution, resulting in building up a energy saving and eco agriculture development mode.
Since 2005, the company has expanded the feed of beef cattle and cows to better processing and waste utilization project by investing 30million yuan. There are feeding farms for cows, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, peacocks , ostriches etc as well as supporting project such as feeding grassland, fish pool, biogas generating pit, biogas power station for inner cycle. Meanwhile, an outer cycle was also established in the form of “ base plus farmers”. The mode helped with the feeding cows with straws in Quzhang county, Xingdaohu town, Changle town, Shikang town, Shiwan town, Wujia Town etc. to supply the company’s beef for processing. The outer cycle increases 40 million yuan each year for local farmer’s revenue.
